Reading & Writing Retreat

Bailbrook House, Bath

Fancy escaping to Bath for a Regency-inspired reading and writing weekend? Join us at the start of spring for quiet reading time, creative exploration and the chance to discover a city with a rich literary history.

12-15 March 2027

Bailbrook House

Set in 20 acres of grounds, our Grade II-listed country house offers plenty of space to unwind, with the beautiful city of Bath close by to explore.

Reading is at the heart of this weekend, with a little optional writing woven in. If you fancy swapping your inbox for pen and paper, you can try some relaxed journaling and simple creative prompts, or pick up ideas for making writing part of your everyday life.

You don’t need any experience, a project in mind or even a plan for the page. There’s no pressure to share what you write, and you’re just as welcome to settle into your book and keep reading.

Think plenty of books, a little creativity and time to enjoy both at your own pace.

We hope you can join: Friday 12th - Monday 15th March 2027
